The Pope vs. Pelosi

 Pope vs. Nancy Pelosi

The Pope and Nancy Pelosi are on the same stage in front of a huge crowd. The Pope leans towards Mrs. Pelosi and said, "Do you know that with one little wave of my hand I can make every person in this crowd go wild with joy? This joy will not be a momentary display, like that of your followers, but go deep into their hearts and they'll forever speak of this day and rejoice!"

Pelosi replied, "I seriously doubt that…with one little wave of your hand? Show me."

So the Pope slapped her.

Eee PC

So am I sitting here, messing with this tiny ass laptop, called a Netbook.
Asus Eee PC 901 is the model of this little of this bit of tech.
Cute package, piano black finish, mine has no standard hard drive, but uses a SSHD instead,
so this little guy is fairly rugged. Came with Linux, but I replaced that with XP Pro, which despite the
fairly sparse specs, and only 2 GB ram, runs fairly well.

I originally wanted this thing as just a toy (hey I am not a card carrying tech junkie for nothing)
but I find I am using this at work to look up reference,
and now I am using it to try and change my spending habits by tracking my spending and attempting
to budget myself so hopefully I can truly change how I manage my money to afford getting
back out on my own. Hopefully it will work.

since I am a LOT lighter on HD space then I am used to in even compared to my other laptops
I am running portable apps, great stuff, they are just slimmed down, non installing fully functions apps.
for any of the office apps, I am using OpenOffice in a portable form my money management app
is GNUcash, both are very useful and FREE open source projects.

well back to my budget and some of these interesting programs on NatGeo

So sayeth John
